Shantien (Xiang Tien)

Shantien are large, powerful, serpentine elder dragons that spend their life soaring high above the clouds; primarily over oceans and volcanic regions, rarely ever coming down to the Earth. Their wings are un-traditional among winged dragons; the body of Shantien is covered in bony, jade-colored projections that absorb air particles, allowing Shantien to create its own airflow and stay afloat mid-air. The absorbed air particles also fuel Shantien's natural Tenshou element; a unique element that is similar to a purple lightning, mixing together the water, fire, and thunder elements. Hardly ever seen and not particularly known to be aggressive, Shantien are nevertheless considered a highly dangerous and top priority monster by the Guild.
